Work is busy, political work is busy, social life is busy.
The machinery of life, thankfully, is interesting. Busy, busy, busy.
I spent ~12 hours in the studio working on my next sculpture. I initially thought that this would be my simplest one to date, but it’s not. I still can’t make the hand look right. After 12 hours I’m almost at the same point where I started, if not further behind. This is frustrating.
On the bright side, I now have the turntable at home, so I’ll be able to practice more.
I’m happy with my accomplishments in art this year. I entered 2026 with a desire to sculpt and I now have a regular practice of sculpting. With 3 months still left in the year, I feel like I’ve reached my goals. For next year, in parallel to sculpting, I want to improve my drawing skills. I’ve already started practicing simple line drawing to improve my accuracy and dexterity. If I persist in practicing it till next year, I think I’ll elevate my skills even further in 2027.
We finished watching the Haunting of Hill House. Honestly, I was expecting a scarier show but, as usual, it was not. Nevertheless, the story was so good. I felt connected to all the characters (except Steve!) and many episodes left me with a profound feeling of melancholy (in a good way). I have absolutely zero regrets about investing time into this show.
